Need Help?

Am I in Crisis?
Calling 911 is ALWAYS an option

I want counseling.. where do I go?
For eating disorders www.somethingfishy.org has great resources for finding treatment in your area
Also your local hospitals/doctors offices will be able to point you in the right direction.

For College Students
Almost all Colleges and Universities have counseling centers... and that is a great place to start seeking treatment - and figuring out what your options are.

Here are the links for the Virginia's University counseling centers' websites:

My friend needs help -- what do I do?
First and foremost -- if they are in crisis seek professional help.
They may be mad - but they will thank you later -- call a hotline/911 or the police at your University or in your Town if they or someone else is in danger.

If a crisis is not occurring - become educated -- and encourage them to seek the professional help as needed. You alone can not offer them enough support yourself when facing a mental illness. Also -- seek support yourself (from other friends, or maybe even set up a consultation with a counselor yourself!)
