My recovery is real.

It is as real as

Those who have fought this battle before me,

Are fighting it with me,

And will fight it after me.

My path will be one forged by me,

To motivate,

To inspire,

And to encourage

Real change

For people like me,

And

For people different from me.

I can change and I will change,

Not because I have hidden strength,

Not because I am somehow different from the rest.

No.

But because I have witnessed the power of perseverance,

Because I have experienced the kindness and love of others,

                                     And most importantly because I have faith in Jesus Christ
